Ageless Patterns are reproductions from actual 1800's patterns. 5/8" seam allowances and grain lines have been added. These patterns were sized for the original time period so it is strongly recommended that one make a muslin mock-up to adjust to today's figure (specifically the waist) ...the ease and fit of the by gone days are not what we use for today's fashions!
This original corset was made of gray drill and is a comfortable corset waist for neglige wear, without clasps or lacing, but instead with a belt which laps at the back and ties at the front.
