1876 WHITE COUTIL CORSET - MULTI SIZE 34"-56" BUST 23 3/4"-45 3/4" WAIST
Ageless Patterns are reproductions from actual 1800's patterns. 5/8" seam allowances and grain lines have been added. These patterns were sized for the original time period so it is strongly recommended that one make a muslin mock-up to adjust to today's figure (specifically the waist) ...the ease and fit of the by gone days are not what we use for today's fashions!
This original corset was made of white coutil and was closed with busks in front and was laced in the back. The corset was bound at the top and bottom with linen tape, and was edged at the top with lace insertion through which velvet ribbon was run and with lace.
