-BONE TIPPING DIES FOR THE FREESTANDING GROMMET MACHINE-
Well the rumours are true! We now carry these handy die sets
designed to secure preformed metal tips to 1/4″ flat or spiral cut
boning. We love how convient and easy tipping boning is with
these dies and are absolutely sure that you will to! Can only be
used in conjunction with our Freestanding Grommet Setter GST-AT30.
-COUTIL DOMESTICS-
In addition to our fine, stiff, finished imported coutils we now
carrying domestic coutil as well! Lighter in weight, softer, and
easier to dye, these coutils will be available in white, black, and
white brocade.
***Coutil Quickies: Coutil is a fabric that is designed specifically
for building corsets. It is high in cotton content, but does vary by
manufacturer and finishing process…..
Imported coutils go through a finishing process or starching process
and as the quality of this process dwindles we are happy that the
quality you have come to expect of our imported coutil continues to
stay the same. Our imported coutil is heavy weight, close textured,
and has a high density weave to prevent boning “poke throughs”.

-LAUGHING MOON- UNDERBUST CORSETS-
Another great multi-pattern by Laughing Moon with 3 great new patterns
including the Ladies Ribbon Corset, Corset Girdle, and Man’s Corset.
The ribbon corset is constructed of alternating pieces of fabric and
ribbon. It has a busk in the front and lacing in the back. This corset
was popular from about 1899-1909. The Corset Girdle is made with one
layer of coutil with a busk in front, lacing in the back, and boning
tape. The dates for this corset are about 1894-1909. The gentleman’s
corset is made with coutil, busk, lacing in the back, and boning tape.
Gentlemen wore corsets in the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

or for getting into those corsets when your personal hand maiden is
unavailable!
Fan Lacing was developed in 1908 by Samuel Camp of Jackson, Michigan
as a solution to self-lacing. As the Victorian Era was coming to an
end, many women were faced with the challenge of lacing their corsets
by themselves. The laces were threaded through a metal clasp that was
connected to an elastic band that buckled in the front for easier
self-lacing.

-BIAS TAPE-
Bias tape is fabric which has been cut on the bias of the fabric
rather than with the grain or across the grain. Bias tape can bind a
curved edge without puckering or pulling. On corsets it is often
used to bind the top and bottom edges for a clean professional finish!
We will be stocking black and white satin bias very soon!
-GROSGRAIN-
Pretty ribbon great for lacing, especially on bridal corsets!
